Xenguard VPN service

These days, just about everybody is offering cheap VPN services. Users have come to rely on such services to achieve greater privacy and security on the internet.

The trouble is, there's a lot of confusion about what a plain old VPN can and cannot do. Sure, it can obscure your IP address from some of the surveillance systems out there. It might redirect complaints about torrenting away from your ISP, so your internet access isn't shut down when Warner Brothers robots notice your downloading. But just try doing your banking, shopping or accessing important corporate web sites -- it simply doesn't work. In an effort to increase security, most significant web sites people use everyday restrict services by IP address and/or region; so your VPN service becomes basically useless. A VPN cannot by itself shield you from internet surveillance -- in fact many large VPN services are operated by former or current surveillance agents.

Your devices are probably already telling the bad guys everything they want to know -- sending your physical location, accessing your files, tracking your speech, facial expressions and online behaviors. Really, sending this information from a different IP address does almost nothing to secure your sensitive information.

It's a myth that internet security systems are designed to protect your privacy (when they tell you it's for your own security, really it's about their security and control). Technologies like TLS don't provide much security to you -- they are designed to control whom may spy on your communications.

Your ISP will hand over your personal data to any number of different agencies at the drop of a hat -- they don't need a court order and you don't need to be doing anything "wrong"; in fact large network providers service thousands and thousands of data interception requests, and have entire departments dedicated to servicing the needs of the surveillance state. Everything you've ever done on the internet is probably sitting there in databases all around the world.

That's where the Xenguard VPN is different. We don't just shoot the packets out from another IP address, we perform deep inspection of all connections (including encrypted connections), to give you control over exactly what your devices do. Maybe you don't want your TV listening to your conversations, or maybe you want to get rid of that corporate spyware that's wasting your bandwidth and sending screen recordings into the cloud. These days, it's absolutely incredible how invasive internet-connected devices have become. Your TV is talking to hundreds of companies; your car is under someone else's control, and your security cameras really aren't yours anymore.

Conventional firewalls are no longer sufficient to control connectivity, because traffic is encrypted -- "for your protection" of course. Just like a VPN doesn't really protect your privacy by itself, conventional firewalls cannot control traffic based on IP addresses and protocol port numbers.

We now have national governments implementing their own controls ("for your protection") -- telling you it will keep you safe online, when it's just another surveillance / control system. If you're not careful, it could be your web site or business that's blocked from the internet forever. And when the actual cyberterrorists exploit these systems, nobody gives the slightest shit about the damage that they do. No agency will care that your life or business has been shut down (well, unless you're a big business).

Xenguard gives you visibility into what your devices are really doing, and the ability to shut down invasive surveillance behaviors before they cause harm. You decide what your devices are allowed to do.

Xenguard cannot store your data, because we cannot see your data -- only you can. Every packet transiting the Xenguard VPN network is encrypted end-to-end, so there is nothing to store. Ever wonder what's inside those data packets your devices are sending off to the cloud? Get the feeling you're being watched? It's time to take control of your internet communications.

We include free VPN service with most of our products, because we want our customers to be secure. If you're not yet a customer, we can hook you up in five minutes flat.
